Proposed first residence
Availability: Phoenix is not open, is not accepting residents or applications, and cannot offer immediate housing. No opening date has been established.
Intended population
The program is being designed for adults who can benefit from structured transitional housing and peer support. Final admission criteria will be adopted with legal review for the selected site. People who need detox or locked clinical care should be referred to appropriate providers.
Proposed services
- Shared residence with private or approved shared rooms
- Meals and agreed utilities included in the proposed resident fee
- Non-clinical peer support and practical life-skills coaching
- Connections to employment, benefits navigation help, and outside community services
- Credit-building education and referrals (not credit-repair services)
- Optional paid work beyond chores, under written program rules
Planning figures
- Capacity: up to 12 residents, subject to the selected property and approvals
- Proposed fee: $400 per resident per month for housing, meals, utilities, trash, and internet/TV as provided — a planning figure that depends on a validated site-specific budget
- Location interest: rural northwest North Carolina; purchase or lease under consideration; no property selected
Proposed future initiative (not active)
A separately funded pathway to a repaired home or vehicle at documented cost plus 10% may be developed later. It would require its own funding, eligibility criteria, written terms, and professional review. Housing itself does not promise an asset, financing, price, or delivery date.
